Measles outbreak in Auckland

The three Auckland DHBs continue to coordinate a regional response to the measles outbreak and have taken over management of MMR vaccine stock distribution from ProPharma and have requested GP practices reserve MMR stock for .

  • First Priority : 1-4 years olds scheduled immunisations.

  • Second Priority: unimmunised Pacific and Maori people aged under 30 years.

Zostavax vaccine fully subsidised for people aged 65 years

For a period of two years ( 1 April 2018 until March 2020), people aged 66 to 80 years can receive a catch-up fully funded Zostavax (shingles) vaccination so if you are over 65 and not yet 81 years old please talk to your nurse to see if you are eligible for the funded Zostavax vaccine.

If you think you might be eligible for a CSC (Community Services Card) you can contact the MSD (Ministry of Social Development) call centre on 0800 999 999 The Community Services Card (CSC) can help individuals and their families with the costs of health care. It entitles the holder and their family to a reduction in the cost of some health services and prescriptions. The card can also be used for dependent children aged under 18 years. For all medical emergencies including difficulty breathing or chest pain or profuse bleeding please immediately call the ambulance service on 111   Healthline nurses can help you any time - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week .  0800 611 116    Only standard 15 minute appointments with you regular doctor can be booked via the portal.   When your usual doctor is unavailable please book your appointment with either Dr Catherine Lu, Dr Carlijn Hoedemaker or Dr Jien Pang.   If you wish to book another family member under the age of 18 years with your regular doctor please use your name to make the booking and then note your family members name and date of birth in the comments field.

Only one fee can be displayed on the portal pricing screen however our practice prescription fees 14 - 17 years $18.00 ($13.00 with CSC) | 18 years and over - $21.00 ($19.00 with CSC)| Additional $5 urgent fee|

Drury Surgery Ltd is a Cornerstone accredited teaching practice and a member of Procare Network Manukau PHO. 

CORNERSTONE® is the assessment programme coordinated by the practice assessment team at the Royal NZ College for General Practice (RNZCGP) and assesses practices using the Aiming for Excellence standard.

We have been part of our Drury community for over 30 years and pride ourselves that our qualified medical professionals are recognised by their peers for their knowledge and skills.  We are a family centred surgery and all of our staff work closely together to ensure we provide the best possible primary healthcare services to our patients. We want our patients to feel that they have been dealt with in a friendly, courteous manner and that all that can be done for them has been done.
