Drury Surgery – here to provide health care for you
What does alert level 3 mean for your health care?
If you, or someone you know, needs to see the doctor during alert level 3, please call us on 092943005 to book an appointment.
We are here provide the help, advice and care that you need – even if you are not experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. This includes any urgent issues, treatment of common illnesses, management of long-term conditions, and prescriptions for medications.
While in alert level 3, most consultations will continue to take place over the phone or by video helping us to minimise face-to-face contact and reduce the risk of spreading the disease. A doctor will then decide whether a face-to-face consultation is necessary, and will instruct you individually should you need to come into the practice.
Alert level 3 also allows us to gradually resume national breast and cervical screening programmes, however bowel screening will not resume at this time.
What about my mental health?
If you, or someone you know, is struggling with their mental health, please reach out. It is important to talk with a health professional if you feel you are not coping.
You can also call or text 1737 — free, anytime, 24 hours a day, seven days a week — to talk with a trained counsellor. Mentemia is a mental wellbeing app, which you can download free, or get started at https://www.mentemia.com/.
