On normal week days our phones switch on at 8 am each weekday and turn off at 5 pm Monday to Friday; and 4 pm the night before a public holiday.
Patients are requested to always ring and book an appointment with your nurse or doctor.The appointment system is there so you can see your doctor at a time of your convenience. If you do present as a walk-in please don't be offended if we ask you to return at a later time to be seen.
We do not book appointments between 12 pm - 1.30 pm. This enables your doctors to attend to their paper work and have some lunch.
CANCELLATIONS
If you are unable to attend your appointment we would appreciate you advising us as soon as possible, at least 1 hour before your scheduled appointment. You may be charged for this time if you do not cancel before a certain time.
Your after-hours calls are redirected to the Homecare Medical nurse triage service and will be answered by a registered nurse.

Homecare Medical is the provider of the first integrated national telehealth service for New Zealand.
The service has registered nurses and mental health and addictions specialists providing phone and online advice, support, assessment of symptoms, triage, treatment advice, and preventive and educational aspects for a range of health, well-being and counselling services. Please allow sufficient time for your medication request to be actioned. Note: You will need to allow 24 hours from the next working day of your doctor for your repeat medication requests to be actioned by your doctor.
Carlijn is here Monday and Tuesday mornings and full days Thursday and Friday. Requests received after 11 am on Tuesday will not be actioned until Thursday. Carlijn is not accepting new patients.
Catherine is not here on Tuesdays. Requests received after 2 pm on a Monday will not be actioned until Wednesday. Catherine is accepting new patients and you are welcome to see Catherine when your regular doctor is unavailable .
Erik is not here on Fridays. Requests received after 2 pm on a Thursday will not be actioned until the following Monday. Erik is accepting new patients.
Christine is only in the practice Tuesday and Friday- not here on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Requests received after 2 pm on a Tuesday will not be actioned until Friday and requests received after 2 pm on a Friday will not be actioned until the following Tuesday. Christine's book is closed and she is unable to accept new patients and she is is only able to see patients currently registered with her.
David and Peter have alternate Thursday and Fridays off. On the weeks they are off on a Thursday requests received after 2 pm Wednesday will not be actioned until Friday and on the weeks they have Fridays off requests received after 2 pm Thursday will not be actioned until the following Monday. David and Peter's book are closed and they are unable to accept new patients and they are only able to see patients currently registered with them.
Judy is here Monday Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Medication Requests received after 11 am on a Wednesday will not be actioned until the following Monday. Judy's book is closed and she is unable to accept new patients and she is only able to see patients that are currently registered with her.
Lynnette is here on full day Wednesday and Thursday mornings Request for medication from her patients will only be actioned on these days and requests received after 11 am on a Thursday will not be actioned until the following Wednesday. Lynnette's book is closed and she is unable to accept new patients and she is is only able to see patients currently registered with her.
To be able to access the portal at level 1 you can join via the book now or repeat prescription buttons on the home page on our website www.drurysurgery.co.nz
Each patient that wishes to use or have access to our practice patient portal must be over 18 years of age and have their own individual unique email address.
